series6_elec.pdf: this is the 60 series body electric schematics and what appears to be part numbers.
series6_2f_motor.pdf: this is mostly 2F motor schematics and what appears to be part numbers.

Very nice and compact file considering the number of schematics. It was very well compressed, Kudos!

Must admit, I'm not the one responsible for their creation. I've been rummaging through the stash of info I had put to one side until I got the chance/time to check through them and get them added to the site, and found those in there. With my somewhat limited knowledge of LC's though, I wasn't sure if they were the same or different to other items up there. As you noted, however, due to the fact they are such small files, it's probably worthwhile putting them up there even if it is going to be replicating. :D Cheers for letting me know what they are, btw. I can give them descriptions that will make some sense now. :D

Thanks again. :)

Great! It's just that I'm not sure about the numbers, as MOST of them are different from the usual Toyota OEM part number format (#####-#####).

Upon further investigation they would appear to be the FIRST PART of the Toyota Part Number (such as 17801 for an Air Filter, full part number being 17801-#####).

Why it is not the full part, I have no idea. I presume they are not specified because there are further options/country/market variants.

Sounds plausible. Different spec for different countries.

I've added it to the site now, btw. Thanks again for your help. :)

Just on another of my infamous sidenotes, :D, I've also dropped the minimum allowed characters to two for the downloads search input. I figured with a lot of the engines and such having two digit numbers, a three digit minimum was fairly annoying. :D

YOUR help is greatly appreciated, Matt! Now if only the A440/A442F transmission manual could be found/digitized... It's the only thing missing for the 80 series so far...

Great site

Matt thanks so much for taking on this project it is a real LC community benefit. I just picked up a 1980 BJ 40 and have hit your site hard for anything related thereto. The one thing that would really be a BIG help would be the regular glove box owners manual . Any chance that you have that one in the to do pile?:D

Matt, I can't download stuff with my resuming downloader anymore (Reget). I can download no problem with IE, but it exposes me to broken connections and on large downloads, it's and impossible proposition, as I'm on dial-up (several nights for the 167 MB H55F tranny download).

Was anything changed? The error message states:

Code:
Input	26	13:41:16	2008-5-29	425 Could not open data connection to port 1919: Network is unreachable
Error	27	13:41:16	2008-5-29	Error #800704D4(The network connection was aborted by the local system.) in CRgFtpSession::FtpLISTHelper()
Error	28	13:41:16	2008-5-29	Error #800704D4(The network connection was aborted by the local system.) in CRgFtpSession::FtpLIST()
Error	29	13:41:16	2008-5-29	Error #800704D4(The network connection was aborted by the local system.) in CSessionFtp::RequestInfo()
Error	30	13:41:16	2008-5-29	Error #800704D4(The network connection was aborted by the local system.) in RequestInfo

Can you help?

Thanks!

Trouble downloading

Matt,
just thought that you ought to know that I also had trouble downloading the EPC. I have a cable connection that has decent speed and I gave up after a day and a half of trying to download. Any ideas?:bang:

By the looks of that, your downloader isn't handling rejections gracefully. :) The servers, (especially the ftp server), are limited to so many simultaneous connections concurrently per client IP. There are a lot of those download programmes which seem to think a sane default of several (tens|hundreds) of simultaneous connections is fine. I disagree. :D Those things are evil. They can bog things down no end, hence the limitation.

Your best option would be to download a proper ftp client:

FileZilla - The free FTP solution

and paste the link you get in IE for the download into that, and download it directly. The ftp client is far better suited to ftp transfers, and has full resume capabilities on the download, so you'll be fine doing it across several days. :)

Btw, I haven't changed anything. :) Let me know if that sorts your problem. :)

Are you getting an error message, or is it just running dog slow?

Btw, you might wish to hold off on downloading the EPC for the moment. I've just popped the latest version up there. Haven't had chance to add it to the downloads list yet though. :)

Dog slow and I'll wait for the latest version. Thanks!

Well I've reduced the number of conections to 1 and seems to work, but two files return the following error:

"Input 20 15:08:14 2008-5-30 421 6 users (the maximum) are already logged in, sorry"

I guess that's legit? Wow, 4216 users at the same time!!! Must be using those download managers that actually passed through your firewall with several hundred concurrenty connections!

As you can see, your service is in high demand!!! :)

Are you using a download manager programme?
I used UTorrent I f you know of something better, let me know. Thanks.

Just popping up a quickie to mention that I've done some updates to the site again. (Nothing vastly different on the layout or such, just underlying system improvements/changes). If anyone notices anything acting quirky or not as it should, could you drop me a note/e-mail/PM, (or whatever your preference may be), :D to let me know.

Cheers.
