Hello Everyone!
I'm on the hunt for my very own late model 200 series. I've been a Tacoma owner for many years. My current rig is a 2012 double cab trd offroad purchased new. I'm looking to upgrade on comfort and towing without sacrificing off road capabilities. I'm in Denver but looking nationally as inventory is limited as you'd expect.
I thought I would post the LC's I've evaluated here and get some feedback and more info out on specific trucks for others. I've seen two trucks in the Denver area so far.

This truck was very well used! Whoever had it prior seemed to enjoy plenty of off road time with it. The paint is pretty rough with a fair bit of trail pin striping and circular micro scratches likely from improper washing when dirty. It was also very dirty underneath and inside the engine bay, no rust though. The rear view mirror was also broken off and hanging from the wires. I was able to hear it startup cold and it had some knocking/clicking. It looks like the front seal is leaking a bit but nothing major. I did not see any oil on the exhaust manifolds through the front wheel wells but did smell some burning oil after our test drive so I believe it has a cam tower leak. It drove really nice though and cemented my desire for one! I'll be passing on this one though for the paint issues and oil leak I mentioned.

Rust! You can see it clearly on the tow hooks in the picture. This truck spent some time in NY and it shows. There's rust all over the frame and inside the engine bay on bolts and certain parts. I also started this one up cold and it had clicking that never went away. There was no front seal leak but I did see some oil through the wheel well. There was also a strong oil burning smell after driving it. The truck is also lifted but I didn't check that specifically as I already ruled it out for the rust. I liked the higher ride though but it was fairly stiff not sure if it was a proper lift or just spacers.
The hunt continues....
