Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

Hi all,
I am new here and looking to buy my first LC. I found this Amazon Green 2011 and wanted to get some opinions on the price/ value here, whether or not it would be a good buy. What would you guys realistically peg the value of this to be, or if there are any red flags here that would make you skip it altogether. Thanks in advance! 2011 Toyota Land Cruiser - Q and A Motors - https://www.qandamotors.com/details/used-2011-toyota-land-cruiser/107941973
What was the word on this one? Did you pull the trigger?

I reached out to the seller for underbody pics but they are dragging their feet and haven’t sent anything yet. I’ll most likely pass on this one to be honest because the lack of basically any service history besides oil changes scares me a bit. Maybe I’m in my head too much but at this point I think I want to see at least one coolant flush at some point just to ease my mind on the head gasket issue.

Good call, imo. I saw this truck as well and was curious if anyone gonna snag it. I’ve seen a green 200 on FBMP down in TX and I reached out to the ad owner and got nothing. My guess it’s a scam since it has the same rear hatch sticker as another green 200 for sale at a TX dealership.

Green 200/570’s sure are fun to find 😂. My wife and I saw one locally and she was like, “hmm that’d be fun to drive huh?” Sent me on the hunt.

See attached undercarriage pics of the 2011 green LC in St Louis. Guy sent me these undercarriage pics towards the end of Oct when I first saw it come available. I passed….

Thanks for this. I know the green ones are particularly rare/ desirable and this one has been for sale for a bit, so I thought there was probably a reason for it. That rust doesn’t look beyond saving, but I’d rather not deal with it if I don’t have to since the color isn’t make or break for me

From the looks of it the dealer could easily clean up the rust with a wire wheel/flap disk and a set of white brushes. Most of the rust appears to be superficial.

A dealer sent me this underbody pic from a 2014. I know the spare is inside out. Is the circled part a ratchet strap hooked onto something or am I tripping?

Just saw this blue guy for sale for like 38K

Been for sale for like 30 days so i suspect something is off with it. It's in a salvage yard but says it has a clean title.

Right color and interior for me but it just smells fishy.

Gotta be some reason it’s at a salvage auction right?

It's got that sticker in the right corner of the windshield indicating it was purchased at an Auction which leads me to believe

1. why is a 2016 with less than 130k miles being sold at auction in the first place?

In Florida, probably flood during hurricane. Probably just a write off, maybe the car is fine, maybe not.

it just smells fishy.
If theres anything I've learned about 200 series shopping. If it's too good to be true, it is.
It is extremely unlikely to to score huge savings simply due to the lack of supply. The community knows it, dealers know it, KBB knows it. If a 200 series is priced at $5k off market, it'll be gone in a week. Only unicorn way to finding a 200series cheap is probably go after a recently divorced soccer mom.

Or an old guy who recently passed, and the family doesn’t know what they have.

It is on copart currently, and it is bid up to ~34k. Too much money to risk as if something is really worng you can be upside down on this one pretty fast.
