Took the beast to work today - first time since the install. Walking out to go home, I swore the driver's side was low. Got home and pulled out the tape and sure enough, driver side is a full one inch lower (only measured the passenger side last night to check amount of lift). Full inch front and rear.

I told the guys that the A spring was the driver side in Oz, so A on passenger side in U.S. They agreed. Was I wrong??

I'll be calling the shop in the morning. I wouldn't mind keeping the higher lift on the passenger side...could we space the driver side with trim packers?

thanks,

Went out after dinner and crawled under...the tags are still on the springs and sure enough, B on the US PS and A on the US DS.

This after a discussion that A goes on the US PS/OZ DS. Humans!

well, then "the guys" will have to redo "the job"...

Just my own accounts here, but I HAD a leaning tower of 80 for a while. I swapped the coils back and forth several times and until she got broken in she finally leveled out. I too followed the Aus vs. U.S. instructions then herd that that was fixed and to install the as stated. I finally used some packers on my driver’s side, and left it. But I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. I looked for binding issues in the arms, panhard ect and couldn't find the cause. Just a heads up if she still leans, pack the side you need and run w/ it.

This is the 3" right?

The A spring does go on the Us passenger side, do this first then pack if it settles out. Ammo it is rare that what happened to you happened. Homans make mistakes and you may of gotten two of the same size springs.
Rule of thumb for OME springs. IN front there is a tall spring and a short spring. (stock as well). The tall goes to the driver side here in the US, the short goes to the passenger in the US. I wish they just went back to the left and right side marking, much simpler. Taller is only by maybe 3/8-1/2 inch, it matters. later robbie

Took it in to the shop this morning when they opened...no argument from them. Only, they can't fit me in until Tuesday. Get to drive a leaning 80 for 600 miles this weekend.

I think I'm gonna have them swap the springs and add 10mm packers all the way around. I'm 90% sure I'm gonna go with the 295-75/16 BFG AT. The extra 1/3 inch couldn't hurt.

No, these aren't 3" springs - advertised as 2". I recon my 3" on the PS will go to 2.5" and my 2" on the DS will go to 2.5". This against 8 year old LX-450 springs. Of course, with the packers I'll be at a mighty 2.8" LOL.

How's this price for the 295 BFG: $795 mounted, balanced, stems, tax and lifetime rotation. I can't seem to find a better price around Houston. Buying them on the internet and taking them in is about the same price, but the rotation is nice to have...those buggers are a pain to rotate!

Make that a mighty 2.9"....

 Sounds like you just answered your own question.

Now Junk, just because I can't find a better price doesn't mean someone else cannot.

I guess you can't, huh? Or you're holding out on me!
