Hmmm, I'm not sure what you have there. TPI is their own suspension company and has no relation to OME. The features of the spring are similar to that of the OME and there is the OME221 - 8 Leaves & 255 lbf/in? Hard to say.

weird! I really hope it does fit the cruiser and this guy wasnt F***ing with me at the least! He did say it came off a 60 anyway.....

could this have been a collaboration at one point in the history of the fj60?

The rest of the parts for this kit are to arrive tomorrow and hopefully ill be heading over the pass to Classic Cruisers next week for the install and to drop off the fj40 for P/S. i guess we will see then if itll work or not.

I'm not sure, its nothing I'm familiar with, might be worth a call to TPI.

well, got the lift installed today, the owner of the shop said it was a TPI lift and he thought maybe OME and TPI might have sourced the same company to make the springs because all the markings were consistent with OME as well. anyway, it fit and here are some before and after pics. tires look really small now, but are too good in the ice and snow to get rid of while its still winter.

here are a couple pictures of the cruiser before, dirty one....

and a couple pictures after, still dirty. it rode nicely on the 65 mile drive home, it felt solid and stiffer than stock but really nice, alot better in the turns of the mountain pass as well. it was a little different of a drive at highway speeds than before but ill get used to it. Im pretty happy with it but the install was about $200 more than quoted, old setup was hard to get off i guess. anyway, it seems like a good height, not too tall but better than it was. one thing i thought was weird was the steering wheel is now turned way right to go straight. not a big deal but kinda annoying, is this normal? is there a way to fix it?

Looks like it is alignment time with the new setup..
Looks good! And I think I may have looked at the truck if it was for sale in the Gunnison area about a year ago.

I bought it here in Gunnison in August I think. not sure how long it was for sale, but it could have been! definitely havent seen another with the rear panels like it has.

Yeah I thought I remembered seeing one for sale in Gunnison last year and looked to see if I could turn the purchase drive into a trip to see family in Steamboat Springs.

We actually went to look at a 1977 international scout my wife liked next door to us, I had the cash to buy it but it ended up being too much of a project. I looked in our local paper and found the 60 and I had to check it out. I made a cash offer the po took it to my surprise (about a grand less than he was asking). Glad I found it though!
