OK, we did the OME kit today, installed like butter......net lift 2.5 rear 3" front, this is in anticipation of the ARB front bumper and winch, we ordered stouter front sprgs......alignment went perfect, drove and handled great.....installed 28570r17 Toyo Open Country tires at same time........everyone very happy. If Todd at TT wants the writeup and pix......... it's his first.
LT285/70R17 (33x11.50R17)
Rim width 7.5-8.5-9.0
Weight 49.6
Height 32.76
Width 11.50

And according to his GPS the speedo was off by only 1.76 MPH at 70 .............:flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:

dont go to yout local toy shop. it will be well worth your while to deal with him.

How about part numbers and mods if they were needed corresponding the lift.

I'd rather OME than revtek

Fo' shizzle!

LOL, I am such a guru on IFS because I've had the pleasure of cutting it off :D

Seriously, thanks for the props. The math was a little daunting, but I am stoked that the homework paid off and it was dialed in perfect right off the bat! I appreciate you willing to take this on...

Hope to see it at Papa's on Thursday. :)

Awesome

I've had time to get a good feel of the OME suspension lift and have no complaints, in fact, just the opposite;
The FJ still has a smooth ride on the city streets - Better than my Jeep Rubicon
It corners more like a sports car. When taking moderately aggressive corners at 15-25 mph, there is very little or no lateral movement. i.e. it corners like it's on rails.
The additional lift in the front (as designed) is going to be perfect once my ARB bumper and WARN 9.5ti winch are installed.
I haven't had time (since the install was completed yesterday) to test the flex or try any trails yet, but i plan to this weekend and will take pics.

I am jealous. I have a IS 300 paid for in the garage with just about every bolt-on I can get my hands on. I want to go back to tearin up stuff off-road but I am not willing to let this car go. I will just have to wait a bit ( prob. 12 months) till I purchase one. I already have a list of stuff to do to mine. Keep tryin out the good stuff so that my list can grow....

By the time you are ready to buy, I'm sure they will have a better color selection, a real bumper that will accept a winch, sun roof, possibly a removeable top (not sure about that), etc... you'll have a better FJ to choose from.

I am hearing that they are coming out with a special edition that will come with the 80 series front axle, electric lockers and a factory supercharger.

Where did you "hear" that? Certainly not from Toyota
