I am hearing that they are coming out with a special edition that will come with the 80 series front axle, electric lockers and a factory supercharger.

Baaaahhaaahhhaaaaa! That's some funny stuff right there. It'll probably get an OZ cupholder too.:D

After the lift

After OME lift - looking for a bigger rock to test the flex.

logic2,
I think you can get some more flex out of the suspension w/ OME 80 series bits and other things.

Please dont tell me you put a LC emblem on the front fender... I think it would look better on the lower half of the front doors (look at the placement of the 4Runner SE/Limited emblems on the front doors for comparison)

Its a Land Cruiser not a 4Runner :D ;) :)!

I love that Silver/White combo - Im starting to like the look of the FJC  .

Topping out the Struits

Do you top out the struts under droop?

I have an OME 2.5" lift on my Jeep Liberty and if you get serious and the front comes up quick, you are rewarded with a "BANG" sound from the struits topping out. This is because the suspension was "lifted" with only springs and no other brackets and such to compensate for the height and even out the upward and downward travel. In other word, I gained 2.5" more upward travel but lost downward travel and that sucks.

Does that happen with this lift on the FJC?

Welcome to IFS. The more you lift, the less downtravel you have. I have never heard of the problem you describe in the 4R or Taco, I'll bet the FJC is the same.
The only possible "hit" I can think of is if the uca hits the coil at full droop- but I believe that would be impossible, esp w/ the swaybar on.

The more you lift, the uca's get to be at a bad angle and become a potential weak spot - uniball uca's give more movement and beef in that area.

To keep your cv's good, people go for the diff drop. The FJC has really good travel in the front suspension - you don't need any of this stuff to run 2.5-3" of lift.

uniball uca's and hoes look crazy wicked in there tho and up the performance factor! OME's are a great deal tho.

If Todd at TT wants the writeup and pix......... it's his first.

It's Chris King's deal, and I'm fairly sure he has.
