I am a bigger moron that that - saw those threads and still don't know where - there is no photo in those threads that is back enough to show me where in the engine bay the darm things is.

remove air cleaner hose where it goes into engine....that is the throttle body intake under engine cover. I recommend cleaning that and the mass air sensor at same time.

remove engine cover
remove hose from air cleaner to engine at engine end...

this is where your throttle body is located...think of it as the carb mouth on a regular vehicle...for fuel injection we have throttle body before the air gets to fuel injectors....rather than valves and fuel jets all together at some spot in a carb.

good luck

pegasis, If you cant find the throttle body, im not sure you want to clean it. Honestly. Done wrong can push all kinds of gunk down the intake runner and into the cylinder. A shop wont charge you but an hrs labor to do it and it may be worth it in your case.

Google 2uzfe throttle body. From a Tundra site on replacing the starter. The bronze flapper is in the throttle body. This is all under the big plastic engine cover. The air intake hose goes from the air cleaner and attaches at the point where the flapper is. Simple enough?

^ and very good point. The last thing you want to do is suck something bad into the intake.

Thank you, but with all due respect :flipoff2:

Thank you, but with all due respect ************

Just a friendly warning! There are many things i don't know how to do that some people find simple. Know your limitations!

I say this in every TB cleaning thread....I'll keep saying it. Make SURE that the red straw is tight before spraying. It can, and probably will shoot off like a rocket and go into the motor. Took me forever to retrieve it as I had to pull just about everything off the motor to find it . Just put a dab of superglue on it.

They actually sell something that prevents this. A rep gave me one when I used to wrench. its made of rubber and fits like a rubber band around the can. it had a short extension coming off it that had a tiny hole in it which you ran the red straw thru. Never lost another straw again:clap:
