oil pressure sensor PZJ 75

This is a 1HZ ,which is the 6 cyl version of your engine but it should be the same.Dont confuse it with the oil LEVEL sensor.

this is an oil pressure sensor for an oil gauge and i have an oil pressure light on the dasch,the placement is the same but the sensor is different and i have no idea what kind of cable attachement it needs
 
Are you trying to get the factory gauges working or are you are you trying to get aftermarket gauges working?

The light on the dash is for oil level,not oil pressure
 
Im not familiar with that kind of dash,do you have a pic?

All the 7* series from 84- that I have seen have a oil pressure gauge and an oil level light.

You can see the oil pressure gauge in this pic in the top left on the right hand side of the dash

that is the basic dash in the pic, they come in some of the pickups and some of the rag tops. very few gauges with idiot lights and no tach.

LOL thanks for that,I never guessed they existed. You dont even need your reading goggles to look at that.
Is that an oil level or pressure idiot light on the left?Does it have a light for each?

It wouldnt be bad having one of them with aftermarket gauges for rpm and others.
 
if i install an aftermarket gauge, how do i have to connect the wiring,let's say i use the one for the light than,i also need another sensor,like the one on the drawing, just e guess,anyway thanks for the info allready

Although my dash cluster looks just like yours, I don't have a "oil pressure" light.

Thats not mine,its one I found on Google. I have an oil level light,comes on when you have low oil or your mechanic breaks the filament and doesnt tell you (fixed it with a used one I had on a spare engine and saved me a lot $$$$)

This is a factory sender
Oil Pressure Gauge Sender Toyota Landcruiser 60 70 80 Series Unit 1983 to 1999 | eBay

If you have one of these you can compare threads and find one that will plug into the block.
You dont need one off a landcruiser,lots of Toyota cars ,petrol or diesel of the same years use an identical sender.
You could probably find one at a wrecker for $5

This universal adapter fits Toyota cars and may also fit a 1PZ/1HZ. If it does fit ,you could plug many kinds of pressure sensors/senders into it

Lots of oil pressure gauges on ebay/net. Most engines run much the same oil pressure 30-80 psi so it does not need to be engine specific.
 
I guess if my truck runs out of oil the only lights that I will see will be the backup lights on the tow truck. :)
