I recently got my first 80 and it had a blown HC gasket and a cracked head. I have a 92 with a 3FE. Got the FSM and and another head. It's all put back together and seems to be running well. One question I have though is this. While driving down the road, the oil pressure gauge shows normal. When I come to stop, the pressure goes down. As soon as I give it a little gas it goes right back to normal. Something else I have noticed, is that while running the AC I idle a little higher and the gauge stays normal at a stop. Since this is my first Cruiser, I am not sure if this is normal. Anyone have any ideas or experience with this before? Just wanting to make sure it's not something I need to worry about.

Mine too.

Its normal unless it goes very low, remember that at idle the engine is not spinning very fast so the oil pump slows down giving you the lower oil pressure. From what ive been told the oem oil pressure gauge is pretty inaccurate.
