I am in the early stages of a tear-down for my 74 "40 build. When I removed my rear driveshaft, oil spilled out from the yoke where the nut is. I also have disassembled my transfer case and found someone had put RTV sealant under the washer for the P-brake drum retaining nut. It got me thinking, what is the proper way to prevent oil getting past the splines and assembly?
