Is it a Toyota?
As ozcruiser correctly pointed out, it is most like the rear main seal. Check around the back of the rocker cover and all around the rear of the engine for oil leakage. If you cant see any, it is most likely the rear main.
I'm not sure how or if you have a warranty, but its not much fun doing one as you have to remove the gearbox, clutch and flywheel to get to it.
If you have to do it yourself because there is no warranty, I would try a power steering conditioner in with the oil, It will take a few weeks to soften up the seal.
You could also try waiting a while. Engines that have not done much work sometimes leak oil at the rear main and stop after a while. I had this happen on my current HZJ75. It had only done 4000klms in 4 years. It had begun to leak on the 1700klm trip home , but stopped altogether a few weeks later. That was in 2013/14 approx., it hasn't returned..
Thanks for the reply
If it was the engine main seal would it not leak where the bell housing attaches to the block this drop is where the gearbox attaches to the bell housing making me think gearbox seal ??
