I've done searches and can't find the same leak I'm having. I've had the front seal n oil pump seal replaced. Today I climbed under the truck and noticed oil leaking from a large black rubber cap behind the oil pan. Any ideas???? I'm new to this stuff any advice would be much appreciated! 97 lx450

Could be the rear arch area of the main oil pan, do a search for rear+arch+leak. That leaks often looks like the rear main seal but from reading here on Mud and my own rig it is more often the main oil pan rear arch leaking. To fix it the main and secondary oil pans have to be removed. Take some photos and post them up.
Did it for you: look through these threads then come back, main thing to do is to clean off the area well (you can pop off that cover) and then try to find the source.

Possibly a rear main seal.

Clean the area up so you'll be able to tell whether it's the oil pan or rear main seal.
If its the rear main like mine it'll just leave some oil drops on the vehicle but hardly if ever drip on the ground and it could go on like that for years. I don't even lose oil during the 3k mile interval actually I drive mine til 5k miles before changing.
The arch seal not sure if that can get worse or drip faster though I know its not a fun fix having to drop the pans and cleaning everything all up and resealing everything argh

When I was inspecting my 80 before purchase, I crawled under the engine and pulled off the black plastic inspection cover for the rear main seal area. The rear main seal was leaking a little, you have to reach into the hole and feel it with your fingers to see how much oil is running down from the seal. My 80 had 250K on it so a small leak was acceptable IMO. Point is, if its the RMS you should be able to confirm it by taking off the cover and getting your fingers up there
