oil gauge

How do you tell if oil gauge is bad. I have changed out sending unit(2 new, one old). With idiot light sending unit the gauge responds like i would think it would. Donnie

Do you mean you tried an idiot light sender with an SR5 gauge set? If you did you probably fried your gauge.
