Oil Bath Air Filter: Info please

Hello,

I have an oil bath filter on my '63. It presently has the inside screens and plate. I think it is missing the filter element like my antique tractor uses. Does you oil bath have a removable element (usually stainless steel coarse "wool" kind of material?

Excellent link. I will have to add a pic of my element material when I get it in. In the the meantime I will be hunting for an intake hose as my intake is not flared.

Not sure what intake hose your talking about. The oil bath air cleaner in the FJ25 and the early 61 FJ40 had a hose that hooked the air cleaner to a inlet tube on the front of the driver's side apron. Then until 64 Toyota used the same round inlet but the inlet tube on the apron was gone and no hose. In 64 the oil bath air cleaner had the oval opening that was flared on the end. By 68 the oil bath air cleaner seem to no longer installed in the USA.
