Looks good. I personally would try to push forward as far as possible and french the frame so that you do not have to use offset shackles or spacers. I like the idea of the shackle hanger going through the frame but I would cut and modify the frame so that a straight shackle could be used.
I'll try to find pictures cause I know I'm not explaining it well.

I'll keep looking. I thought it was on the CSC board but I didn't find it there. It may be from one of FC187's builds on Pirate. I would consider it because you have a bare frame and it would make for a stronger mount but it requires cutting the frame and building a notch outboard for the shackle to go through.
