1991 Ford Thunderbird lx V6 AS IS

Now that's a diamond in the rough if I ever saw one....

Do you think they just left it on the side of the road after the accident and said "eh, screw it - i'll just put it on craigslist"

Guess Mrs. Carver didnt understand what the squiggly lines meant on the sign she plowed over

Wonder if its supercharged ?

I always thought it meant people on acid's car tires are melting :meh:

There's your Chump Car.
...or chump's car I suppose

Yeah - that was just slightly more work than it's worth I think.

I may be interested, let me check a few things.

At lunch I went to Imtex motors in Greensboro. They had a '69' mini cooper s with 14k miles that I wanted to look at. What a colossal mess. Rusted everywhere, 1300cc late 80's motor - definitely not 14k miles, maybe not even 114k... looked like it had been autocrossed at some point (cutoff switch in the trunk and racing harness disconnected on the back seat. Just a total mess - leaky gaskets, seats were wet..... $10,500 (which for a true 69 with that low mileage and no rust would have been a decent price). I laughed at them and said I wouldn't pay you more than $3000 for it.

But (and this is why I mention it here) they had a 40... looked to be mid/late 70s, original engine. From about 30 feet away it looked promising, but from 29 feet it was clear it wasn't. Closer I got the worse it was. rust everywhere, bondo everywhere there wasn't rust. Just terrible. Asked them what the price was on that (even though I had no intention of even considering it) - $18k...

I literally laughed when she said that. Then I said thanks again and walked away.

Had the mini actually started, I might have gone for a ride for s***s and giggles - but not a sound when I turned the key.

Really ridiculous place - unorganized - keys for cars just in random piles and boxes. Twice while I was there I heard something about "can't believe we can't find the key" for 2 different cars.. It's a joke.

Yeah they had boats too.... I wonder if they're just looking for suckers or if they actually overpay for what they have. Certainly they're deceitful with their advertising.

IMPEX on holden. they have had a few cruisers, but that 40 has been there for 2 years now.... like you said a joke.

now if someone is looking for a one of a kind 80 in the RDU area... this is listed at an estate sale this weekend
Very Nice Toyota Landcrusier for Sale this Sat/Sun Only

had to look to make sure it wasnt an imported blue marlin edition

That's a pretty great price, assuming the description checks out...
