I have family in Greensboro coming in for a visit on the 26th, that might be able to drag it back that way. If you don't get any other offers before then. Work stops for me in Charlotte on the 23rd, so I'm in Salisbury until the first of the year.
If I can help, let me know.
Shane

I'm in no hurry if you don't feel like family would be put out by hauling my Junk. Thank you for the offer.

Al, a 6 for you as well, sir. Many thanks.

If Al and I can meet up somewhere, I don't think it should be a problem.

Wanted To Buy:
#1: Your used OEM or stock length shackles for my FJ40 (pin to pin length of 2 3/4"). On the Veterans Day trail run at URE, I damaged the one on my passenger side and need to replace it. I figure someone on here must have done a shackle lift and has a pair lying around. Shackle pins preferred but not required.

#2: Distributor vacuum line and the nuts/fittings that connect it to the distributor and the carb. If I'm ever going to drive my LV on the highway without a billowing cloud of black smoke behind me, I'm going to need this. Note: This part is not specific to the LV and I think it would have been on any 1969 or earlier FJ4X. No clue as why the PO would have removed it as it is a vacuum advance distributor. I checked with Beno and learned the line is discontinued but I still need to check with him to see if the nuts/fittings can be had. I'm hoping someone who did an engine swap might have at least the nuts/fittings laying around and would be willing to let me take it off their hands. Jackpot if the line is still in usable shape. I'm hopeful that if I've done a terrible job of describing this, you can figure it out from the image below.

#1 I think I have shackles from my 82, but not sure if the size changed to a larger diameter?
#2 Not sure what I am looking at in the picture, but "A FRIEND" of mine has a bong that looks a lot like that.LOL
Let me know if you want to try the shackles.

A friend huh :)

Thanks Shane! It appears the distance between the pins on stock shackles increased from 2 3/4" to 3" in August of 1980. I have no idea if the pin diameters changed. Perhaps someone else on here would know.

Pretty sure they did, but IIRC there are some different bushings available to accommodate the delta. If you are buying new bushings anyway, I would contact Georg (that's right, no "e" on the end) at Valley Hybrids and see if he has them in stock. He's FANTASTIC to work with and carries oddball stuff like this because he knows all about these types of issues. IF you want to keep the period correct shackles, I bet he could help with that as well.

What the old broken one looks like

John, I have one. It's called an air injection manifold. It's discontinued from Toy. I found some used around $180. The one I have has a slight crack at one of the joints that could easily be patched. There are some other cracks but only in the heat shields. I'll sell the one I have for $140. pics below.

I think I have a set of front ARB replacement leaf springs for a 60

Wanted: 285/75/16 for a spare. Doesn't need to be pretty, just needs to hold air. Anybody got one?

Check with @Rice
He has some 305s which is just a tad wider but I'd feel safe using with 285s on AWD to get home.

By the way, my 80 series roof rack is back on the market. You'll need to have the factory rack mounting points to use it; unless you want to fab your own supports. $250 takes it. I will throw in the HiLift jack if you don't haggle on price. :-)

Hey @Rice you got an extra 305? I currently have either a 215 or 225 for my spare...

I have 3. $40 each?? Your pick. One is a BFG KM, Two are BFG KM2's.

Any pics of your roof rack?
