family car??? My vote is a volvo wagon with a LS swap... Lol
no but they do pop up for sale all the time. Most of the time 7-10k

to me a wagon makes more sense than a SUV if you already have an adventure rig.

but to suburban vs 100.... for strictly a family hauler i'd say a burb. Only for these reasons though, cheaper initial price, parts are also cheaper, it is comfortable and more roomy and returns better MPG in most models (not counting the 8.1 or 7.4). Now the 100 will out wheel a same year suburban hands down but if you aren't planning on wheel it then that wouldn't matter. They both will last you as long as you want them to if you take care of them.

In the end it call comes down to personal choice though so test drive a few and see what you personally think.

I can not find a link at the moment, but Jay Leno's mechanic George has a killer Volvo wagon sleeper.

I've seen that one before.

This one is also pretty bad ass.... as it shows outrunning a yamaha R1 on the freeway

Test drove a Nissan Leaf and man was it smooth to drive. The seats and ride are like an old Cadillac. I want to get this one, but Wife and I are scared of the range :(

Yeah, 84 miles isn't very far, but it's so cheap! Would almost be perfect for a commuter, but only if your commute was less than 30 miles (one way).

look for the spark their range is around 204..... we thought about getting an electric but our commute each day is 94 miles minimum.

If the TDI craps out we may look to Tesla in a few years..

Long shot but anyone have gear sets lying around for a 14B/D60 or D44 combo in 4.56 or lower

I've got a D60 4.56 gearset with open carrier sitting in the garage. Shipping to WA would be expensive though.

Hmmm i'll let you know.

Still having trouble finding a D60 front for a good price. Of course 4 months ago they were all over the place LOL

I can't imagine buying a NEW car for $35K and then 12K miles later it is worth $13K - - of course it could be worth $0 if I bought it in a couple years, who knows.

My drive is 24 miles one way.

That is a whole lot of money for an 80 Jamie

Belongs to a good friend. Super clean.

There are no issues with the 80.

He wants it to go to a land cruiser person.

Wife wants it for her DD - usually she stops me from doing dumb things with Toyota's, so this is bad :)

Yep, the owner's a really good guy. He used to be in the club and on mud but not so much anymore.

Super truck. Lots of money but he's had a lot of interest. Not often you find a truck like that with less than 100k miles.
