I have multiple fan shrouds, I'm just not sure the difference between a 1f and 2F. May be the cause of my shredding fans... You're welcome to one if it's a 2F...

Thanks for the link Ramon - I should have the winch in a week or so for the 40 build. Ended up just buying the winch/electrical cables/fairlead/remote. Wasn't a fan of the yellow rope and only 80' to boot.

OK folks, clearing room in Dad's garage under ultimatum that wifes car must be in the garage by summer. So here is your chance to own a used item that is better than new! If you thought Jon was good at keeping his stuff nice, wait till you meet pops. The biggest negative would be some white wax residue around the boltheads

Tell your friends and keep and ear out if you dont mind. Would be perfect for that guy that has almost everything.... say a bunch of cruisers, a big diesel, and even bigger garage, lives down east, but rides for a good cause to the west .... funny last name...

$ is a tough one. Market sucks worse than old cruisers at the moment but this one is a gem. ONLY reason being sold is due to unsuccessful back surgery. Lots of mods so PM me for a full spec sheet but basically think fully built and never wheeled 40 with low miles stuck in a garage and your close.
over 26k invested, less than 26k miles, shooting for $10, 000

BUT what size are you and what do you need? Novice rider could walk away with a rediculous package. Leathers, helmets, covers, luggage, maintenance tools, trailer etc. The more you want the better deal you could get.

This is not a "for sure" thing yet.
I may have to put my rig up for sale soon.
Too much debt crushing down on us and the fact that an barely paid or unpaid internship might be in my future is causing this fact. In the past i'd just work a 2nd job to pay off or down debt but i'll already be doing that when taking on the internship.

So if I can't find another way my rig will be for sale.

1992 toyota land cruiser
Slee 6 inch lift includes (coils, gen II arms, adjustable rear upper control arms, adjustable front and rear panhards, extended brake lines)
Bud Built HD tie rod drag links with new factory TRE's
Custom front bumper (higher clearance than a ARB) will be cleaned up and repainted
On board air with york compressor (will need to be wired up and rear tanks bought for it)
Custom weld on sliders
Electric fan (activated by new factory switch on dash)

Things that will be fixed before sale
new windshield
AC will be reinstalled and charged
New heater control valve
Hand throttle
Complete tune up using toyota parts
New Brake Pads

Known things wrong with the truck
Small shimmy (not always) between 30-40 mph
Shimmy can be worse if doing a turn at those speeds but then again only some times. I think the bushings on the radial arms need to be changed. There are 6 and I have 2 new toyota ones to be included in sale.


The truck runs very good most people that have other 3FE trucks talk about how much faster it does feel.
To be truely unstoppable it is only missing lockers and gears (I know I have those but they are not included in the sale, unless the price for the truck shoots way up)

I hate to do this and so does Andrea but I can't see another way around it now unless I can get a equity loan on my house but the places i've called in the last week are all against equity loans in this market.


Anyway just a heads up if anyone is looking or knows someone that is.

OEM Spare tire carrier for a 1970 FJ40 - $10.00

Carrier is in decent shape with a little surface rust. One hinge is frozen, the other is solid.

Hardtop door blades in good shape with no rust just need paint - $10.00.

'4XRAC' highlift mounts good shape need paint - $5.00.

Chevy bellhousing - fresh silver paint from the PO - 20.00 (I have no clue what application(s) this works for other than it is currently bolted to an SM465).

1970 FJ40 stock tire rod / drag link / and center arm - $10.00 (needs new tire rod ends).

1970 FJ40 front turn signals (pair) in fair shape - SOLD.

1970 FJ40 manual steering box dirty and greasy - $10.00.

1970 FJ40 brake master (no booster) dirty and greasy - $5.00.

1970 FJ40 rear expansion / evaporator tank with shield and hard lines - $35.00 (you need this for your OEM restoration ).

Hardtop sides (no vent window style) already blasted to bare metal. Decent shape, bottoms have been patched by unknown PO. Will need minor - medium work to be perfect - 100.00.

Liftgate hatch w/glass in fair to good shape 50.00 (comes with header in fair shape).

Early style (1974 and older) front hard door window glass - $15.00 (for both sides).

1970 FJ40 side steps in fair to good condition (currently painted green) - $10.00 pair

Mini truck power steering pump (pulled from junk yard off a '79 4x4 model - $15.00.

K&N Air filter for 2F style filter used - $5.00.

Will eventually have 1970 3spd transmission for sale (worked fine per PO) - $25.00 (no bellhousing)

Actually, those were given away by the Toyota Trail Team at events for free. The are becoming more and more valuable as time goes by. Can't be ordered from anyone unless someone wants to knock them off.

What sucks is that I gave back 4 of them at events because I already had one, shows how smart I am...
