Wouldn’t have worked with any other SUV

Update: I bought this used and I realized the hitch is upside down for the LC/LX. Our hitch is a higher than typical pickup truck, I need to flip it to make the trailer sit level (still learning).

New to me. 2009 Lx570

My 2000 Lx470 was totaled in 2019 and my insurance gave me 15k. Which is what I paid for it back in 2011. Earlier this year I took the 15k and put it down on this 2009 Lx570 with 68k for 29k miles. Absolutely love this vehicle. Except for a few minor things like the wood peeling. Old infotainment and the 20in wheels. Aside from that couldn’t be happier with the 200 compared to the old platform.

Looking at all the shots of everyone's rigs is great fun! One thing that surprises me is that more people haven't removed the factory side steps. That's on of the the first things I plan on doing, followed by going to 18" LC rims after that. The door molding/trim will come off around the same time.....

I thought I'd have my factory side steps ripped off the first weekend. After seeing a few without side steps and without sliders, decided I didn't prefer the look with the AHC protection bars just hanging out all visible down there. So I bought LC rocker panel guards and am waiting for Slee sliders to be back in stock so I can do it all at once.

I think there will be some holes behind that door molding in a '13 and later, unfortunately. Agree on both points though, dechroming would be great.

I have read that 2013 and later have holes, which makes the decision much more costly. My plan is to use LC rocker panels, but I'm wondering how different the two shades of silver will be. MAWLR has a good write up on a modified LX570, and it looks good from their photos.

I'll find out soon! Slee might be in my future too, I just don't like the drilling part, even though it seems minor.

Can someone please do this already?

I know they’re more but metaltech has their lx sliders in stock. Super stout, will take a beating and brush it off.

Yep, I'm glad metal Metal-tech offers those, in such a thin market. I personally just like the Slee appearance more, along with saving a few pounds.

ETA: after more research and thought, I actually prefer the Metal-tech. However, it _appears_ they won't work with my LC rocker covers without cutting.
