I've ordered the high clearance boot kit (both inner and outer) for my front CV axles that need to be replaced anyways. I have not yet lifted my GX 470, and don't plan on it for at least 6~ months. Might be a dumb question, but is there any downside to having a shop use the high clearance boots WITHOUT a lift? (i.e. too much movement/space inside the boot?) One of my boots are leaking so they definitely need to get done before that 6 month lift plan.
