official Cullowhee Pic Thread

Nice work guys. Hate I missed out on Cullowee this time and I hate I missed so many new faces too! The swampers were calling for Cullowee but I already had tickets to the GT game and you all know how that goes. It looks spectacular as usual. Hope it wasn't to windy on the balds! (I'll never forget the first big expedition we had as a group up there!!!! That was some wind! )

I don't make it over here very often, but I linked in from the "Artistic Photo" post. Where is this place? It looks pretty nice, is there camping available?

this is in western NC just outside of cullowhee/sylva (about 45 min west of asheville). There is primitive camping only available at the base of the trails and along the way both on the gravel FSR's and a few scattered along each trail. it is mostly national forest and gamelands and there is a wildlife corridor maintained biannually along the balds.

back to the top to show those of you that aren't familiar w/ the type of adventure cullawhee is, 40 miles in 4lo and not see a single other person! it will be a little less colorful this time 'round, but less pinstriping as well this is gonna be fun!!
