"Sike" goes back farther for me. (circa '86)

Wish I could make it, but I'll be out of town for a week starting tomorrow. Scott can have my beer.

Have fun.

Sorry can't make it, will be hitting the evening glass putting the tower to good use. :grinpimp: :bounce2:

We did make up for it last night though with a wonderful dinner. Going to miss having you around here Smitty but at least we still have MUD. How sappy is that? :flipoff2:Take care buddy and drive safe. Post some pics of the new digs when you get settled in.

:cheers::beer:

Damn - wife just booked us for a 12:22 tee time Sunday - should still be able to make 6:00 in Torrance tho.

I'll try to make it (at least shake hand with you) but if I can't Good Luck to you Smitt :frown::beer:

Please get back here and let me know how much the gas cost? Back in Aug '01 I drove the LX from here (SoCal to East Coast -New York City =3000 miles) and cost me $398.00 ->yup just the gas, all the time I filled up with premium -91 -just to keep all internal and the injectors clean.

Probably by now it'll cost you close to $700.00 - Yup just one way gas.

I going to drive my LX again to New York City sometimes this fall 'Oct but we'll see what happen.

Well... Don't forget check all the tire pressure- spare tires, all the fluids, new brake pads.

Drive safe.By the way the interstate speed limit 65 -70mph so be carefull if you don't see state trooper around you may check above your head.. :flipoff2:;)

YAY golf!! I am looking forward to having the time and discretionary income to play golf again! I can't wait. Still have blades in the bag though.....so it could be ugly for a while (and painful, especially on those brisk fall days in the south).

Thanks LX. I budgeted $530 for the LX for the trip. I used $3.00 a gallon as the base hoping that I have over shot it a little. Sure is a better time to make drive over this time last year.

My father in law is driving back with me too and he is a Sergent in Atlanta. He will have his badge to help us out if we need it (and if it helps..ya never know). We plan on cruidsing around 80 as much as possible.

Dam Smitty you will be missed. I forgot why are you leaving again? I will be out of town this weekend no can go. I wish you, your wife and the little one the very best. Sorry to see you go. Life takes many twists and turns, enjoy the moment.

Smit, did you see this on the news last night?

"Blind woman, 53, makes history with ace"

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20365762/

That is awesome!! I am jealous, never had one. Had many tap in birdies in the 6 inch range though. Maybe one day...then again, maybe not.

I am changing careers in search of more long term balance in my life. Also wanted (needed) to get back close to family as our family grows. I am entertaining 3 (working on the 4th) offers from Financial Planning firms. I will more than likely being going back to school to get my master's in personal financial planning and also get my CFP in the future. And play more golf. And buy a nice home. And spend more time with the family. And start saving aggressively for retirement/college fund. And wheel the rig more. And build the rig more......etc.
