I have an 1989 Chevy Suburban 3/4T 4x4, 350 V8. And I have a known good 1978 Toyota H2 tranny/transfer case(non split case) left over from an old project. I really like the way that tranny shifts so I'd like to use it.
What I'm planning to do is put the Toyota 4 speed into the Suburban. I know I can adapt it to the chevy V8 with no problem, stock location and may have to do something with the rear trans cross member and the drive shafts - Chevy on one end and toy on the other
What I'm not sure about is a possible drive line off set binding problem with either the front or rear drive shaft - any one ever do a set of Chevy diffs with the stock toy tranny/TC?????
Any thoughts much appreciated.
Thanks
LBM
