OEM steel wheels with clips???

I'm looking for a set of steel wheels with hubcap clips and having a hard time locating a set in decent condition.
Has anyone ever tried making their own clips and welding them to the newer steel wheels ?
Any info is appreciated

One can still get the rims from Toyota.

CDAN (?) here on Mud apparently has them.

Also if you find some rims with the clips missing I think those can be ordered separately.

Maybe try contacting your local TLCA chapter.

Rusty Wallace Toyota marks up all their parts when they list them on eBay. I would not buy from them.

I called Toyota of Richardson "today" and the parts guy said they were discontinued...I'll try Rusty Wallace in the morn.

Hey mate, what year they off ? will they fit a disc front end ?
I,m after a set i can take centre's out of and put into ten inch bands, for my 68 with 60s diffs.

Should still be in stock...OCDBeetle in our club just ordered some. They come in black only though. Check CDAN or Ralph Hayes Toyota in the vendor section. Ralph Hayes has the stock hubcaps for $70 for 4 shipped right now.

If you decide to try and do the clips check out a VW bug parts warehouse. You should be able to order clips that will work from them.

If they were manufacturer discontinued, then that is very recent news. I ordered some last fall. They were $86 each with my TLCA discount.
