Looking forward to having this in our Overtrail. It'll be the first Toyota/Lexus I won't have to install an ARB on lol. Changing the subject, what has your "real word" fuel economy been like in the GX550?

You got a GX?
Fuel economy is pretty accurate from what Lexus claimed.

I did a full test this afternoon. I typically air down to 24psi over here, took 6.5 min to air back up all 4 tires to 35psi.

Not bad! What elevation were you at?

I wonder if the LX will get the compressor too.

Placement doesn't seem as immediately obvious as the GX, but there seems to be plenty of space behind the interior paneling. Is that a manifold on the compressor body?

I need to reup my TIS subscription and review the wiring diagram and fuse blocks again.

Yeah, the manifold.

Just did mine on a '24 OT (non plus). I paid $1134 shipped for the part. Thanks for the write up it helped speed me up!

OP, awesome write up and having air/tire repair kit on my vehicle is important to me. I very much would have liked the integrated air compressor to be on the 24’s. So, I’m sharing the cheap-o route I have taken as an alternative for having air on the go until I take the path you took.

On the trails I bring along my Milwaukee M18 2848-20 portable inflator to air up when done. Works fantastic and quickly reflates all 4 tires. I have the LockNFlate air chuck on it and I can take all 4 tires from 20PSI back to 35PSI in ~5 minutes. Unfortunately is normal use having it in the truck 100% means it is bumping around and generally in the way. Someday if I put a drawer system in it can live in the truck.

Here is my cheap-o interim alternative for air with me when I don’t have my Milwaukee inflator or until I step up to integrated air like OP.

~$90 at costco, battery powered, fits in the side cubby. I hope it’s battery doesn’t short out and burn my truck to the ground.

awesome write up! does anyone happen to know

1) is the wire harness it plugs into pretty heavy duty, i.e. would it be enough to use it for something else that had a decent current draw, like a fridge or ham radio?

2) do you have to add a fuse to get power to the harness or is it hot from the factory?

thanks for any insight.

7,500mi and averaging 17.3 mpg overall since purchase on my 24 OT+

harness is hot from factory; search my posts and I have a picture of the harness and the fuse rating.

The harness has a 50A fuse from what I recall.

thanks for the pic! got mine all torn apart this morning. do you happen to know which fuse it is under the hood?
I assume it is the 50A fuse labeled TIRE INF.

thank you yet again @turbo8. got my ham radio mounted in there today - oddly enough my large wires are hot all the time, even with ignition off. i am wondering if the harness somehow has a defeat relay that connects with the two smaller wires and the compressor unit. regardless, i sincerely appreciate all the help!
