Has anyone seen a custom build of a split-gate left and right swing out, like the Slee or Victory for 100 series, but that has pivot points coming up out of the tupperware OEM bumper from welded attachments below? For an OEM-look, that keeps the tupperware original bumper?

Just curious. Have seen some Ford Bronco style rear quarter panel custom systems, but haven't seen anything like what i'm describing.

Haven't seen it in the 100 series yet, although what you're speaking to is a legitimate product that exists.

Yes

YES!!!! that is exactly what i was looking for, i know i'd seen it somewhere. and i'm wanting left-hinged, AUS-style like that too. looks like they are COVID sold out like everyone else and their dog. i'm hoping they can sell most of the part that i'd need to do this on my 06 100 series. looks like he makes a true split gate with left and right flip out sections.

FYI - This won’t work on the 100 because of how the tailgate is shaped relative to the rear crossmember. However, with some additional fab work, you might be able to get it to function.

i'm interested in doing the extra fab to make it work. PM me if you know how i can get the base parts for the kit, to have both left and right hinging sets like below.

So Kaymar Aus. does actually make a swingout (just one) that will carry the spare tire over the stock 100 series bumper.
Our own @clayinho did a video on installing his, though he ended up getting the kit for the 105 on accident.

i wonder if the backup camera still would have most of it's field of view with a 32" tire. looks like it might... the carrier is pretty far to the left, which i like. the summit cruisers one is a little cleaner look, tho. thanks this is good info.

For 900 bucks you sure don't get much.

i hear ya there. no aux. rack capacity, and the receiver bolted into the gate is a bit wonky.

I would plan on moving the camera. I have one mounted above my license plate and even moving that to the side, I am missing alot of the view on the drivers side. These cameras are all fisheyed, and it doesn't matter as much how far to the side the tire is, but how much it sticks out off the back of the truck that blocks the view.

yes, that's a very nice custom fab.

Not exactly cheap or easy, but what about a ROW OEM swingout--mounts to the right of the tailgate at the rear of the truck. Prohibitively expensive (to me) to do with all new parts, but I was soooo close to pulling the trigger on a salvage one from BeForward auto parts in Japan (which would've come with the main part and tons of the ancillaries and just had me buying another $100 or so of stuff from PartSouq), but shipping ($300 IIRC) made me stop long enough to have a needs/wants conversation with myself and then the part sold and saved me from myself.

My google skills are apparently super weak at the moment--cannot find a picture to save my life. I believe tire carrier part no is 5190360120

I saw that one too... Somewhere here.

Also saw the one that used the Bronco parts and was mounted to the body.

I deleted a lot of my bookmarks and now I cannot find it.
