Odometer turns over on multipules of 1/2... (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone, I pulled the odometer out of my 1970 FJ40 to clean off the dried grease, which prevented it from working properly. I thought I paid pretty close attention to the disassembly. Now that it is back together, I notice that when I hit 0.5 miles, the 1mile turns over, and when I hit 5 miles, the 10 mile marker rolls over. I assume this goes on at 50, 500, and 5000....Has anyone come across this problem? What did I do wrong on reassembly? Before I pull it back apart, anyone got any bright ideas?

The problem was the metal counter wheels were facing the wrong way. the gear should be aimed toward the white wheel!
