I’ve got 09 with ~125k miles. Not too long ago I started feeling a tiny kick when the car is starting to move. It’s kind of hard to describe, let me try. So, from a stopping point, when I begin to move I feel this kick coming from suspension / breaks / transmission area (basically from below). It’s not audible, just feel it. It happens at a very low speed, may be 3-5 mph, does not happen every time either. When it happens – it happens once until I get to a complete stop. Then would happen again as I start moving, again not every time.

I would appreciate any suggestions on what to look for, etc.

Thanks!

Does it happen only when on a gentle downward slope?

I notice this in my 2010 122k miles when starting on a hill, once in a while. Not every time. But appears to require a preload on the drive train.

Drive shaft bind seems like a good culprit. Easy to check if this fixes it too. Thx

Agree with above - lube the drive shaft. Mine wouldn't go away even after lubrication (apparently there was a TSB on this) - I ended up replacing my driveshaft and its smooth as silk now.

Sounds like Drive Shaft is messing with you. I wouldn't recommend lubing them though...

The dreaded clunks.

Thanks all, will have a dealer take a look at the driveshaft. I don't think this is related to an incline, seems to be happening on a straight road. Appreciate everyone thoughts! have a great weekend!

No need to look at it. You need to lube it. The slip joints and spiders need lube.

I had the clunk in my Tundra. It sort of feels like someone's bumping you from behind? It was cover under TSB. Basically it's a driveshaft issue. I'm not sure if that's the same with 200s. If you're in the lower odometer range I'd bring it in. Otherwise, if it is the driveshaft, I wouldn't worry. It's not a huge issue.
