The meeting for October falls on the 8th, which is the first day of the Crawl in Hot Springs. Most of us will either be there or on the way there that night.

I'm not going to say it's cancelled cause if folks still want to go hang out and drink beer and talk Cruisers, then please do. But there won't be any business.

Unless we want to move it to another night, but October is pretty full.

Maybe move it to 15th in case there is any ICBM last minute business?

OK, Chris King sent me a message with a great idea. Let's meet on the 15th with TTR at Toyota of Dallas. I'm there. Chris' message... (hopefully he won't mind the quote)

TTR was planning on attending your meeting on the 8th to show support for ICBM and to get the clubs back together again.

We were also going to present the idea that LSLC meet up with TTR on our regular meeting night of the 15th. That particular night we are meeting up here at Toyota of Dallas to show them support since we (both TTR & LSLC) will be hitting them up for a lot of money and raffle prizes.

To sweeten he deal, all 2003 and earlier Toyotas will be getting a .99 oil change courtesy of the dealership ($9.99 2004-2006, $19.99 for 2006 & up).

It is really just a way to help Phil show the management that their advertising dollars do make a difference. Phil will have some displays up (ARB, RTT's, recovery gear and off road equipment... kind of like a little meet-n-greet).

So, since LSLC's meeting is pretty much gonna be small on the 8th, I'd like to open the door for y'all to consider, in light of the Cruiser Crawl, to reschedule your meeting to the 15th at Toyota of Dallas... probably from 5:30 to no later than 8:00. Afterwards, we can all go next door to the Hole in the Wall for greasy burgers and beer.

Let me know what you think of all this? It is our hope that perhaps both clubs can get back to meeting at Papas again... it just isn't the same without y'all.

That's a lot of oil for .99. You'd be a fool to turn that down.

Good plan.
Unfortunately, I've got theater tickets that can't be changed that night.
Oh well, I use special oil in my diesel anyway.
;-)
Nick

Sounds great, we really need to show our appreciation to the people who help us. Make sure we talk it up, I know alot of people who will go just for the oil change. It would porbably make a good impression if we ordererd some parts that night too....get together a list of stuff you need or have been putting off.

Lets see I show up with 7 cruisers and get the oil changed for 6.93 cents... wow! Mike

LSLC cruisers are notoriously cheap. $.99/oil change is going to bring cruisers out of the woodwork.
It could be the biggest meeting ever.:clap::clap:

ill bet that doesnt apply to rotella for diesels.

oh well. if the 60 was runnin better id let em do it just cause i feel bad for the rig.

Hell - I might have to make the October meeting... I think I'll have to be in Dallas again for "Business" I think I can expense the oil change?

We always look forward to your guest appearances. :grinpimp:

Most Land Cruiser owners are very very cheap. Only one group is cheaper. VW TDI guys.

Last time I paid someone to change my oil they overfilled and fouled my plugs... I swore I would change my own oil going forward BUT $.99 is an insane deal! I plan on coming out... not just for the oil change. :p

I wanted to do the 'crawl' but after talking to some folks I need to do some things before I head out unless I want to suffer some avoidable wounds...

No - you still need to come to the Crawl! We'll keep you out of trouble there. Plus there's plenty of open seats to ride along. The wheeling is only part of an event.
