I got the same bank2 sensor1 code as mentioned in here.. which part is the one needed on the denso site?

Super Class OE identical O2 sensor 234-4169 234-4169 FRONT; 2 sensors; $91.73

Super Class OE identical O2 sensor 234-4161 234-4161 REAR; 2 sensors; $93.21

I am guessing it is Front meaning pre-cat and bank2 on the pass side. Is that right?

Bank 2 Sensor 1 = self-threading sensor in the right manifold when looking forward from inside the truck. (So you are right) the FSM indidcates you will need to remove the "Heat Insulator" (two bolts) to access the sensor.

This is a good reason to call Cdan. OEM parts and tons of cruiser knowledge.

Getting to cruiserdan ....

It doesn't make sense to me why they would sell 2 after-cat sensors as a pair. Selling a #1 (pre-cat) and #2 (after-cat) together I could see because both might be seeing the same conditions.

Bank 1 = the left side of the engine while inside the truck facing forward.
Bank 2 = the right side of the engine while inside the truck facing forward (Keep in mind the 100 is available in right hand and left hand drive)

Torque for Sensor 1 (self-threading) = 32ft/lbs
Torque for Sensor 2 (flange and nuts) = 14ft/lbs - FSM notes that the nuts and gasket on the Sensor 2 are nonreusable.

The price on the previous post if for one sensor; not two. The part that says "2 Sensors" is just telling you that the vehicle has two of that type in it. Harry copied and pasted that from the Denso site so you just can't tell what they meant from his post.

And I'm still unclear which part to order from the Denso site. I need to order some other stuff from Cruiserdan so I may just have him get me this as well, if the price is close.

Thanks

As stated before, Bank 1 and Bank 2 describe which side of the vehicle. (Sitting in the driver's seat, Bank 1 is the left side, Bank 2 is the right side) Sensors 1 and 2 refer to the placement from front to back. Sensor 1 is the front one and Sensor 2 is the rear one. The 2 rear sensors are the same and the 2 front sensors are the same; hence the Front and Rear identifiers on the Denso site. Hope that helps.

check ground before replacing o2 sensor

my check engine light came on and i got a code of P0135 on my 2000 cruiser. it ended up being a loose ground to the throttle body where it grounds near the fusebox on drivers wheelwell (under hood). it seems common on these trucks for it to come loose. hope this helps somebody.
