Quick question for those that have gone this route - did you remove the output seal on the NV4500 to make this work? The seal supplied on the NV4500 is 1.910" ID and the Atlas input is 2.175" OD, so they do not fit. When I called AA about it, they said the problem is the NV4500 is designed to be used with a thinner walled tcase. Their solution is to remove the output seal on the NV4500, mate the 2 to determine the clocking of the Atlas, and then use silicone for sealing. Sounds kinda "duct tape and bailing wire" to me, but if that's the solution, so be it.

Anyone been down this road and care to comment?

Interesting you mention...
I recently picked up an NV4500/split case combo. IIRC, no seal on the output side of the adapter, just the input side of the t-case. Oil must have a way to get up there from the trans side and drain back down.
I have these two pics from the rear down. I’d have to go down and take a better look to be any more helpful.

I figured it out - purchased a seal from Fastenal that fit perfectly once my shop established the needed dimensions. Thank you!!
