number 2 misfire

i have a number 2 cylinder misfire code....i bought a set of plugs, but i am skeptical that this will remedy. which cylinder is no. 2? looking at the front of the engine...how do the cylinders number? i suspect a bad coil. any help is appreciated...thx!

Sitting in the driver's seat, the LH bank is "Bank 1", with 1-3-5-7 cylinders. The RH bank is "Bank 2", with 2-4-6-8 cylinders.

Do a search for ignition coil and you will see what others have found for a solution.

i got it fixed, thanks everybody...went and got a chinese coil pack from orielys and installed on number 2, runs great again!

Just an FYI. I had a cyl 5 misfire code. Replaced the coil pack..no change. Still ran and idled rough...still had the misfire code. Returned the coil pack and put the original one back on. Pulled the cyl 5 spark plug and put in a new one. Problem fixed. Sometimes it's a coil pack...others it's a plug.
