Just bought an LX450 in Dallas. Had Gary (Waggoner) check it out for me first. The only thing wrong with it is a small but fixable dent that can be seen in the photos and the power antenna doesn't work. Other than that he said it was in excellent condition with no rust or leaks. I'll be heading out tomorrow:

Rock on ROMER!!!!!!!!1

Wrong with it? Oh, I get it ONLY one dent. time to add more? Congradulations!

PM C-dan for the replacement antenna assembly. I got one from him pretty cheaply.

*congrats*, now go test those lockers!

*edit- that thing nees tires in a big, bad way. Go wear out those stockers and buy something knobby!

Congrats Romer. Very happy for you.

FWIW, Matco makes a great fake wood removal tool. I believe they have it on their website listed as a flat tip screwdriver :flipoff2: :D

LOL, looks great. Don't forget the Best Bang for the Buck Faq that has some easy and cheap modifications to do.

Make sure you get a great pic with it next to the 40 to post.

Now I have to figure out how to flip the Lexus Badge to match the 40

Good looking truck, congrats!

Yup, now thats more like what we are used to seeing down here!
Congratulations.

I used a fake wood chisle to remove the fake wood in my truck. Leaves fake gouges that are kinda gnarly.

All right, buddy! Finally a real cruiser eh? errrr.... well, close anyway, it's a Lexette after all... :D

Now to get rid of this body cladding, and for God's sake, check and lube the screws on this roof rack!

LX wood is not removeable, it is printed directly on the plastic of the part,

Congrats on the new 80 , Looks good

That "L" badge stands for Land Cruiser...right? :)

Welcome to the brotherhood of the "L" :D

Predented is good! That way you don't have to cringe at the first dent. I sort of was upset by my first dent. Then the second one came along and it was really bad, but at that point I didn't care anymore.

The L standing for Land Cruiser is a good one, but only for people who don't know that Land Cruiser is two words. My dad has the LX variety and he claims that the LX is the the only true Cruiser because it has the L on the steering wheel and on the radio etc... What always cracks me up is the TOYOTA on the glass and wheels.

Besides the obvious differences, my dad claims that now they pass the offering plate to him twice at church. Little do they know that it was cheaper than the Land Cruiser sitting right next to it on the same lot.

It looks nice! I'm glad you found a good one.

Later!

80's really grow on you. It's sorta weird.

I hate seeing them all stock like that. You should go *fix it*. :D

Arraingements are made. 8:30 AM flt to Dallas, Arrives 11:30. The dealer is going to pick me up. We cut the deal and then I'm on my way home to Denver. Should be home mid day Sunday. In time to plop in froToo bad the Lone Star Boys are at a run. Would have liked to buy Gary and Butch a beer!, next year at MOAB!

Romer, Its about frigin time. It has now been 4 or 5 threads that had to do with you and trying to find the right 80? Anyways, Congrats. Now you just need a 2.5" OME lift, ARB Bumper, TMJ Rear Bumper with swing away tire carrier, safari snorkel, and some sliders. Then you'd have yourself a sexy looking vehicle.

RavenTai, I'm calling pure BS dude. :ban:

Those pics make it look EXACTLY like what is in the 40th Anniversary 80's. And I know for a fact that the 40th's wood chips away nicely.
