Edit!

The November club meeting will be at the 6 Mile Pub, Sunday the 24th @ 4pm.

November 15th, 16th, 17th.

As discussed this past meeting, we'll be heading to Tuck Lake, past Youbou, for a 2 night stay. I've decided to incorporate the November meeting with this event.

We'll be setting up camp on the west side of the Lake. This is a Club Sanctioned event so please keep it to only Land Cruisers.

SAAAYYYY WHAT? Pictures or it didn't happen. :p

Thanks for organizing this event Colin!! Being one of those poor dudes tied down to kids and stuff, I probably won't be able to join however.... :(

Need two inch drop spacers for bump stops and just about to order the Dobinsons springs to replace the emu lift, front coils on one side is cracked after only a couple of years.

Nice Rob! Dobinson's are much nicer than OME. I originally bought OME, but have since switched to Dobinson.

Where did you buy yours from Nick?

The coil technology looks miles ahead of OME..

Florida if I remember correct. Sadly there is no Canadian distributor yet. I went in on a order with my friend when he ordered dobinson springs for his HDJ81 also.

Just wondering about details like when we're meeting and where before hitting the gravel, and are we doing communal food or personal?

I'm personally going to be leaving my place aired down so if people want to commune here (5min from the Youbou turnoff in Lake Cowichan) then that's cool. Guys can air back up here as well after the weekend if they so desire..I've got 3 air hoses outside my shop and a water hose if anyone needs one.

I'm not sure which side of the lake has better gravel road conditions currently. I could ask around, but I know the Youbou side has pavement further down the lake than my side (South Shore Rd). I typically drive back I to town and over to Youbou when heading out that way but sometimes that side is a washboard too. I'll update if I hear from some local truckers which side is better right now.

Anyways, looking forward to an overnighter with the club finally :-)

I'm going to be arriving fairly late, probably around 730/800pm. I think @Gsb15 will be getting there before me. Message him to see if a convoy would work.

As for the location of the camp site at Tuck lake. It'll be on the west side of the Lake. It's a nice spot, bit in the open and a bit rocky.

For food, probably would be best to bring food for yourself since I don't have an exact head count to who is coming and would make meal planning difficult.

What ‘NO TOLLS’! how unCanadian. It’s no fun if it doesn’t cost more. 😣
I won’t be able to make this.

Just got to work and found this in my email...sounds like it's gonna be "bring an extra tarp" weather

If I make it it'll only be for one night, but swmbo threw a "drop grapes off in Duncan at an incredibly inconvenient time" wrench into my plan to head to lake in morning after work, so we'll see.
