That's a sweet trail. It's definitely not easy to wheel with a stick so I say you did well Brian!

Brian, have you ever seen an 80 make that same run as you did or too wide body. :hhmm:

Greg got in there with his 80 on the lower rock garden, two years ago, but got hung up on one section. But, it's changed since we were there. I don't think the width would hold you up, I think the length is more a factor...

An 80 shouldn't have any issues with other trails though...

If I can get this thing fixed soon I will put the 80 back in there and give it a shot.

I would like to see that! The 80 is a beast but the 40 seems to "go where no man has gone before". I am impressed everytime I see a video of Ramon, and Bryan, in theirs. I think I've watched Ramon climb that rock in URE 20 times.

It's mostly just weelbase. There are sections the 80's walk that I have to work at or choose a different line. In general, IMHO, the ~102" wheelbase I have my 40 at now is just right. The stock 40 wheelbase is too short for a lot of steep stuff, and the 80's wheelbase limits the breakover angle.

 R

True that, where the 80 shines is on the steep parts or Daniel where a longer rig stands out..... i've seen a few monster suburbans walk all that first part of Daniel like it was nothing, not even locked.

IMHO the one of the best wheel bases ever was the 43 which is super friggen rare over here.

An Aqualu 4 door 40 tub on an 80 fram with some 40 inch MTRs would be just about right also though.

This is why I chose 114" as the wheelbase for the truggy I am building. With 23" clear to the frame and a flat belly pan it should provide the best of both worlds.

I am sure you saw it but there is a 4 door tub and 80 frame for sale on the 80 board or maybe it was the for sale board.

Way to much money in my opinion.
