They say "Chrome won't get you home, but it will get you laid." This must be true somewhere. If you live there and this truck won't do that, get your money back.

That thing may be value to someone, but, all that chrome is just NOT an FJ40. The price is actually not out of line . Seems like the price is fine , but, the end user must love chrome.
 
I think under most of that chrome are OEM parts. Perhaps someone will restore it. At least give it corrugated sides and a proper cap.

Sounds like you are a purist as me ? Chrome has its place. All coatings has its place. As I said, if , if , the 80 K invest is true, the 39K ask is ok. Perhaps take a 25 K from a user.
 
Not that this is OEM chrome, but toyota did in fact sell a chrome front bumper, bumperettes and bezel. I have all of it new in the box, think it all came from my local dealer about 15 years ago
 
My '71 had a chrome bezel, it might of been OEM. Looked that way.
 
chrome was package option. i had a dealer package on my first 40.
