Considering the LX470 in the attached video. I would be very grateful if anyone has any thoughts on how it looks underneath, since it’s coming from the north. Everything appears to check out but I just want to be sure I am not missing anything from afar. Body and interior are very clean.

Early 2000s
+/- 200,000 miles

Many thanks in advance.

No. Wait, be patient.

You are in the South, buy a rust free Southern Vehicle. That one has had at least two places where the frame has rusted completely through and were patched up. Lots of places with bubbly rust still that have been painted over.

Don't buy rust....when you live an area where rust free vehicles can be had.

Bottom line up front: If it's cheap and you don't want to keep it long, maybe. If you're going to want to put in time and effort baselining and really loving it, find a better one.

I always think It helps if you say what you're about to pay. At the right price, that's a decent truck. It has evidence of rust, but has been cleaned up. As the dude says: Replaced crossmember because I'm sure it looked like poo. It has two repaired spots on the frame behind the rear wheels. The whole frame appears mildly rusty and has been painted. Those are aftermarket CV axles - Cardone HD I think - you can tell by the boot band color and the rust by the outer end. At least a couple sections of the exhaust have been replaced. I'm very fond of my AHC and use it often, so I'm sad to hear it's gone, but thats definitely simpler. There's a big ding in the right front bumper.
