Howdy! Up for sale is my 1999 Lexus LX470 with approx. 240,000 miles on the odometer (still in use). Asking $11,000, open to offers.

It was originally going to be an offroad project for me, but we're selling because we have moved to Seattle and are consolidating cars. This has been a good reliable daily driver for the last few years for us - we've used it for hauling tailgate supplies and camping and I'm going to miss when it's gone, but we just don't have the room up here for it to make the trip.

The truck is covered in a two-tone spray-on bedliner (beige over black) which has held up extremely since application from the previous owner. The seats have been reupholstered in their original tan color, and the carpet is in decent shape as well. I've had the radiator and most of the hoses replaced, and apart from replacing the battery and plastic t-hose, the truck has not needed anything major. The only visible rust I can see is on the passenger's door frame, and that is surface rust from where the door has worn off the paint and primer. There is no visible rust on the undercarriage. To my knowledge the truck has lived its entire life in Texas. AHC still works like a charm.

The truck has a Smittybilt rack and auxiliary fog lights, but no other aftermarket off-road gear. All in all, it's a blank canvas for someone looking for a decent project (which is why I bought it, and why I'll miss it)

Here are the issues I know it has:
- There is a high-pitched whine under WOT, the belts all appear to be in good shape so I'm not sure what the underlying issue is, but this only happens under full throttle.
- The truck might require a new alternator, as it has thrown off the battery light intermittently. Truck has a new battery (about a month old now).
- The rear passenger door handle does not work from the outside. I believe this is just a matter of replacing the internal mechanism, but since I haven't had the door panel off yet, I'd encourage you to take a look at what'd be required to fix it.
- The aftermarket alarm is over-aggressive, and will go off every time the system is unlocked from the key. I just use the manual locks, but I'd recommend having a shop remove it.
- There is a leaky strut (front driver's side) - this has not been an issue for me as I was originally intending the truck for an OME lift, but the move to Seattle happened before that could take place.
- The leather center console cover has been torn up a bit over the years
- The steering wheel under the cover has some significant wear to the leather covering

I'm asking $11,000, and if you're interested I've got a bunch more pictures I can shoot your way. The truck is located in Decatur, Texas, with my father-in-law. Looking for it to go to a good home.

That's a question I get a bunch and to be honest I'm not entirely sure for the overall vehicle. From the last time someone asked, I can tell you Line-X quotes 0.7 lbs per square foot, and they estimate a pickup bed with the recommended 1/8th inch coating adds somewhere in the ballpark of 40-70 lbs. Extrapolating that, I'd guess somewhere in the ballpark of at least 100 lbs, but that's mostly guesswork since it was done by the prior owner.

The coating is (to me, anyway) fairly remarkable in how durable it is and holds up to not just bounding through the brush out on Texas ranches but also to the sun. I was expecting much more fading over time but it has held well. It certainly isn't a replacement for a brush bar, but for lighter use since I'm not hitting trails that would test approach/departure angles, I think of it as a significantly lighter solution to, say, an ARB kit up front and out back.
