An impromptu (and very small) meeting of the FJ25 Owners Group took place at the Huddle House restaurant at I-95 (Exit 38) in Brunswick, GA yesterday afternoon. Here are the minutes of that meeting:
Jim and his delightful family stopped by on their way back home to CT and we shared some hot coffee on an unusually cold day for this part of the country. We really hit it off with our very first meeting as Jim performed a thorough inspection of my 25, ensuring that it met the criteria of membership in this elite club. He was most impressed with a T-bird emblem that finally found its way onto my hood. (Thanks again, Jim.
)
Jim's daughter, Jamie, also participated in the inspection, immediately noting that my spare tire was mounted on the rear rather than the side, thus confirming my model was a hardtop version. Jamie awarded the moniker of "Bear" to my rig as she completed her once-over.
We even discussed distances and driving time for this southern boy to make it to the next CMCC, so that a more complete meeting of the 25er's could occur later this year.
The obligatory ride in my 25 took place has we backed it up 25 feet into the sun for some Kodak moments. (Pics should be posted later today.)
All in all, I had a great time finally meeting the man behind the Cruiser_Nerd handle!!
(I hope the rest of your trip home was safe and uneventful, Jim. Let us know when you get there.
