i think you should defiantly go for it. Especially with the winter weather advisory in effect for tomorrow. snow on the rocks makes the holes smaller
Well that does change things. 10-20” at elevation will likely shut it down for the season. Oh well it was just a thought as I was driving through the vallley the other day. Hibernation here I come.

i mean like if you make it to the trail head, the slight gate keeper should give you a pretty good idea of what to expect farther up. make it past that and depending on how ambitious you are, you can probably make it pretty far. they are saying only 5 inches max for snow i guess.

Depends where you look for the forecast, but it probably puts the nail in it for this season. It’s a bit of a drive (3hrs) for us and between colder temps (topless trucks) and a possibility of getting skunked pretty much seals the deal.

Out of curiosity, are there other technical trails right around there? I’ve only been up North meadow with the local group.

Yeah that’s pretty much what I was thinking. We are more inclined to crawling then overlanding. Thanks

There’s always talk of returning to Ennis, but life keeps getting in the way. Sad part is it’s not even that far away.

Drove through Ennis again today. Still tempting… I know we wouldn’t make it to the lake, but skiing is pretty blah.
