I'll get some pics up in the next couple of days. We just got back this early morning from our extended tour. It hit a slight delay due to a blown heater hose on a toy pickup. Some damn hose tucked under the intake and against the block that takes the hands of a chinese boy to reach. Once I go through all the pics I'll try to dig out some of the south side of the trail.

The deer valley trail was cool. The south to north route was pretty challenging in a stocker, but doable. The north to south route was much easier. The only pisser was that I recieved one very large dent. The worst part was that it was while my pig was parked at camp.

It was nice meeting you porcine afficionados.

Glad you could make out this way!

So I don't have too many wheeling pictures of anything but my buddy's toy pickup that went with us. Maybe I'll post up some pics of the pig in action when I get to see the photos that were taken. With the lack of gearing in the pig, some interesting launches and wheelies where made. The coolest part of the pig run was on the way back trying to squeeze the pig in between a rock and a tree on an off camber section. Needless to say, the obstacle is easier after the pig ended up moving the 4000 lb. rock.

We ended up planning a road trip, with the pig run in the middle. First we ran up from the High Desert up to Laurel Lake in the Mammoth area. That place is incredible. Complete seclusion at 10000' elevation.

Between Bodie and Laurel Lake, we wandered around Mammoth hunting for arrowheads and soaking in hot springs. Bodie was just a cheesy old mining town and a stop on our way to deer valley.

This is what most of the trail looked like.

After Deer Valley and 14 pounds of dirt in my socks we stopped in Murphys for a hotel. Showers are nice every week. Then we went to Snowshoe brewery. They served us there finest example of an infected ale that they could muster. Forkin' garbage. After some scoping of native american stuff, we drove through Yosemite and stopped there for a while. This was to fix a leak in the toy pickup. The first pic is of Tioga Lake, where we stopped for a while. The second pic is a grin at mono lake, meaning it is time to go the fxxx home already. Overall, we did around 1300 miles. The fj55 with its mighty f145 burned one quart of oil and had a roller for the rear window crack from washboard roads.

The toy pickup blew an almost impossible to reach heater hose and then developed a very bad knock, push rod or something of the sorts.

I see you went out with the big boys, very nice.

So sorry about the stupid brewery. That sucks. And my fault for recommending.

Hope you didn't have too much trouble breaking into the Nor-Cal Pig clique...
