Noise at back of truck?

Hi all,

This probably should belong in the SQOTD but I figure I'd post a new thread.

Was in the garage and heard a quiet compressor type noise coming from the back of the land cruiser. Last drive was about 6 hours prior. Crawled under the truck and located the noise coming from the pictured area above the spare tire. Anyone know what this is?

Completely normal. Since about '06, most Toyotas have the evap system pressurize the tank to detect leaks for emissions reasons. The system activates about 5 hours after the vehicle has been turned off. If there ever is an actual problem, you will have a CEL upon the next start up.

I bought my '07 FJ new and that was a tag that was on the transfer case shifter upon pick up, I didn't buy my 200 new so i can't say if that tag ever came with a new land cruiser, but I know the systems are designed the same.
