No start after Clear flood mode for compression test (3 Viewers)

Ok, I told myself what the heck, I took out the dissy, aligned the mark and pointed the rotor to the #1 cable. Put everything back and it started perfectly. Still going to use my timing gun to check the timing. Thank you all for your advice!
 
Eariler you said you re-set the rotor, what did you do to reset it?

The disty spins at half the speed of then engine, so the first tdc the rotor will point at cylinder 1 and the second tdc it will point 180deg towards cylinder 6.

When I reset the rotor I just removed it to see if it was broken somehow, thanks.
 
In the future clear flood mode only works on vehicles with a drive by wire system when your WOT and the engine RPMs are at cranking speed the computer cuts fuel.

You don’t want unburned fuel in the combustion chamber during a compression check it could give you false readings and also wash the oil film off the oil rings. And it’s not good for the compression gauge.

Always check compression on a hot engine with fuel injection disabled, unless it’s a newer vehicle with a drive by wire system that’s supported to do the dry flood technique.

If you have low compression bust out the leak down tester and that’s another can o worms.
