Picked up a couple of these elegant little silicone "straw holders" at Lowes. Simple and will outlast your typical rubberband. They were a buck and change for the pair.

I like that, thanks for posting it up.
saw that in a mag, and love the idea, but i'd be too lazy to use it. besides, everyone i know has a ton of them in their tool boxes just in case they lose them.
I always just use them without the straw. 99% of the time, works just fine. 
Another one of those stupid simple "why didn't I think of this?" inventions that everyone is going to own in a short while. I know I am....
Looks like the can has a arm and hand coming out holding onto the straw. I may have to consider picking some up. Thanks.
It might be my dirty mind, but that PB plaster can is up to something kinky.
