New owner here, starting the diagnosis of no CDL, therefore the K294 lockers won't work either.

It is a '97 LX450.

I thought I'd start by pulling the center dash panel and expected to find a jumpered plug sitting above the climate control unit. I was going to plug the emergency flasher switch in to try to see if anything happens with the CDL actuator.... BUT!

There is no plug there, and none that I can see anywhere in that area. I did not pull the radio or fully remove the CCU, either, but I did have the lower dash on driver's side apart removing some aftermarket alarm that had been installed, and I didn't notice a plug floating around there either.... I DID find two unused plugs under the center console back near the CD Changer, but those didn't have any jumpers on them or even look much like the pictures of that plug I have seen here.

Does anyone have a clue of where to look for this plug?

Where there any difference between years such that it is either not on the vehicle at all or some place else entirely?

I have the FSM and the ED for a '96, but none of them are helping me to see if a '97 has the plug.

Has anyone installed the dash-mounted CDL switch in a '97?

I just logged on to TIS and pulled up diagrams for both 96 Land Cruiser and 97 LX450, the diagrams are slightly different but it appears that your truck should have the jumper in the center of the dash. If you give PM me your email I can send you a pdf of both diagrams.

You might have to dig around a bit, but it should be there. Keep looking.

Mine was wrapped in foam and had a dummy end on it when I installed my CDL button years back. Dig around and perhaps snap a picture(s) of what you have behind the bezel and Mud might be able to help locate it.
