Ok Gang,
I have a '75 FJ40 stock 2F engine. This motor has not run in a while. I have just finished putting in a new fule filter and pump and ran a new line from the fp to the carb. The carb is also stock. I have it on good athority that the engine ran within the last year. All the wireing is good, and gas is getting to the carb.
My insticts tell me that the motor is not getting any fire. I figure that this could be due to any combo of the following.
1) bad plugs
2) bad wires
3) bad cap/rotor
4) bad coil/ignitor
5) malfunctioning carb(but I don't think so)
Just wanted to bounce this off the board and see if anyone had any input. Can timing also lead to not fireing? Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated
