California / Arizona truck in rare and desirable copper metallic. No trades. I've come way down off my original asking price as I'm now ready to move on this. I have another project and need the room. Asking Price is $10,500 for Mud members. This is head and shoulders above 98% of the FJ60s you will ever see and drive. Salvage title from a few years ago it is now Arizona restored salvage. Truck was declared salvage title back in 2000. Apparently the owner didn't think the damage was anything to worry about as he drove it like that for 15yrs. I say this because the AutoCheck report shows only one owner before the insurance company (State Farm I think) took it in as an insurance loss and sold to a small San Diego dealer near Miramar about a year ago in 2015. Autocheck shows whenever there's a change in registration or titling to a new individual. None of that on this truck on the report. The dealer who bought it from the insurance company fixed damage and repainted it, put new exhaust and a couple of other things on it. I have seen the original damage in pictures the front grill was cracked and the hood was creased. There is no frame damage. I bought the truck in October 2015. I obviously didn't think that the salvage title was a very big deal as it was so long in the past and this truck had been giving reliable service ever since. Recent paint original factory color done by the dealer. Yes I have double checked the paint code to make sure it was originally this color. Things that I've done to the truck are as follows: Driver’s seat has been rebuilt and sits high and proud. No cracks in dash. Adapters for three point harness seatbelts installed in rear seat. New windshield. New exhaust, new clutch with pressure plates master and slave cylinders, new oil pump, oil pan gasket, full tune up, new side access gasket, and a new crankshaft and bearings that I got through Specter. Brand new Mean Green Alternator. I'll include the original Aisin alternator in the sale. New front speakers Pioneers. It has a modern Pioneer radio that I'll be keeping. Leaks a little around the rear main seal. The truck runs beautifully with a very low idle at about 650-700rpms. Shifts perfectly. No rattles or strange noises. Both Heat and the AC work great and of course this is a must in Arizona. No rust on this truck. That's the body OR the undercarriage. Looks like the undercarriage was treated with rust preventive treatment at some point in the past. Aftermarket front bumper guard not shown in the photos. You can message me with an email address and I'll shoot you over the Autocheck report which is like a Carfax just a little more complete. My cell is 623-332-3516

I also wanted to add that the odometer just two weeks ago stuck at 169,699 I think. They get stick when the hundreds or the thousands change as they age. Autocheck report will show steady growth in the mileage over the years. Full disclosure of course this is Mud.

Your story doesn't make sense. Salvage in 2000---15 years later insurance company sells it to a small dealer? Somewhere in between, the original owner was driving it?

I know but that's what the records I have show. I'd be happy to email the Autocheck to you. I assume there would be something in CA where they total your car and you get to keep it maybe? There's nothing else on the record that shows anything like fleet use, flood damage, hail damage etc. I've just tried to state it to the best of my knowledge. Guess it'd be up to an interested buyer to see the truck and the record and decide if it's something they are okay with or not.

If anyone would like to run their own CarFax or Autocheck report, here's the VIN.

VIN: JT3FJ60G3F1129963

Also, truck passed emissions here in Phoenix with zero issues. Our standards are similar to those in SOCAL.

That is a nice looking vehicle, if it didn't have the salvage / rebuilt title I would be interested in it

I know it's an issue for some guys. thanks for your interest.

I searched my phone and came across the original pics of damage that dealer provided me with. Damage shown is not that much so I'm assuming that the insurance company was just using a low blue book value plus availability of parts or lack of them from Toyota. Per previous owner (a small dealer) he sourced a new hood and parts of the grill before repainting the entire vehicle original color.
