I’ve got a set of front 45 drums, cylinders, and backing plates in the parts pile if anyone needs them. Let me know if you want them and we’ll figure it out.I went to Lordco and Ladysmith Auto Today. It would seem that Raybestows no longer makes the drums for the land cruisers. So unless somebody has another source I would not throw out old drums anymore
That's my goal. I'm looking hard at retiring in Belize. I'm not a big fan of where we are going in Canada and the debt we are piling on my kids makes me wonder if they have a future here. I'd like to immigrate to the 1950's when the world made sense but Belize is a close second.Hopefully before 2040, I’ll be able to retire to the farm and live off grid. Solar & Electric would be the way to go... with almost no reliance on oil companies.
I’ll list the body parts I wouldn’t like, it’ll be easier;Even if they just made the parts that always rust like all 4 doors, fenders, front bib, windshield frame, hardtop sides, hardtop gutter rail, rear tub and frames..![]()
It’d be worth spending money to do a full body restore using OEM parts. I hope it’s not too expensive for a frugal cruiser owner like me. I wouldn’t want to spend a mint on it… I’d be afraid to use it as intended.Even if they just made the parts that always rust like all 4 doors, fenders, front bib, windshield frame, hardtop sides, hardtop gutter rail, rear tub and frames..![]()
